Nine US states will not allow people to board domestic flights anymore with a state issued driver’s license, starting on January 22, 2018.
Residents of the following states have to demonstrate either a Green Card, a passport, or a military issued ID when they board a plane:
- South Carolina
Some states have started working on offering federally approved issued IDs that would not require a passport for domestic air travel.
